Unicoi Outfitters prides itself on having the most professional and most capable guide staff of any guide service anywhere. All of our guides have extensive experience on our local waters as well as streams across the country. Our guides have invested years in learning their craft and include some at the highest level of certification by the Fly Fishing Federation, Joan Wulff school graduates, and Orvis guide school graduates. And, they want to share their knowledge with you on the stream in order to give you the most memorable fishing trip possible.

Gilligan Special

The Gilligan Special is Unicoi Outfitters' basic introduction to fly fishing for people who have a curiousity about the sport, but have never experienced it. The tour starts with an hour of basic casting and fishing instruction, then finishes with two hours of fishing on one of our trophy trout streams. We provide rods, reels, waders, flies, and the knowledge needed for a first-class introduction to fly fishing. The Gilligan is designed for two people, so is perfect for those on vacation in either Helen or Blue Ridge who have wondered about fly-fishing but not had the opportunity to try it - this is the perfect opportunity! While designed for two, arrangements can be made for larger groups, just call us for details. Add $100 for a third angler.
Guided trips include use of rods, reels and waders. Full-day public water wading and float trips include lunch.
