Speckulater Charters is a shallow water, light tackle, fly fishing guide service operating in the beautiful estuarine waters of the Chesapeake Bay's Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck. Here, the novice and expert angler alike can find a fun and exciting day on the water. Only a short drive from the historic areas of Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown, fishing with Capt. 19' Intruder Skiff
Speckulater Charters uses a custom Intruder built by Glenn Rose in Beaufort, NC. This is the ideal boat for the inshore, shallow water angler. With a 10" draft, you can get into the shallow areas and fish for Stripers, Specks (Spotted Sea Trout), Red Drum and whatever else is lurking about. With a length of 19', a beam of nearly 8' and tunnel hull, she is fast, dry and stable. The Intruder boasts a large forward casting deck and a snag free interior that offers plenty of room for the fly angler to cast and to lay out line. Equipped with an 115HP 4 Stroke Suzuki, she can get from place to place with quiet speed and comfort. Also equipped with a Minn Kota GPS controlled trolling motor, we can operate in the shallows and over the grass beds with a minimum of fish scaring noise.
