Royal Gorge Anglers Half and Half
8 Hours
|
This has become our most popular summertime trip for those who like to walk/wade fish and float as well. We start each day with a morning wade trip beginning at Arkansas River Tours in Cotopaxi at 7:30 AM. This portion of the trip lets you shake loose the cobwebs and concentrate on the great early morning dry fly fishing. At noon, you are free to spend a few hours on your own relaxing during the heat of the afternoon or pursuing Browns rising to hoppers along shorelines. Meet us at 4:30 at Arkansas River Tours in Cotopaxi for an evening float using large dries and streamers. The best of both worlds and you'll love it. You'll need to provide your own flies and lunch. Mid June through August.

South Platte River Guided Trip
8 Hours
|
Add $25 for 2 anglers or $85 for 3 anglers. The South Platte in Park County provides classic stream fishing on two tailwater stretches. Our main focus, the Charlie Myers SWA also coined as the "Dream Stream," is known to be one of the most challenging tailwater sections in North America; but can be very rewarding. This is a great winter fishery with Spring and Fall runs of Elevenmile Reservoir fish that can reach into the 10 plus pound range. The fall run Brown Trout and spring run Rainbows and Cutt-Bows are what make this section famous, however, it serves as a tremendous year-around resource!

Backcountry Creek Trip

Add $25 for a second angler. A Backcountry Creek Trip with Royal Gorge Anglers is one of the best adventures for anglers in Colorado. We get you way back in the wilderness where you can experience some of the best small water this state has to offer. But don't let that fool you, it doesn't always mean small fish! We operate on over five local backcountry creeks that foster tremendous biomass for trout to be plentiful and healthy. These Creek Adventures are seasonal, and run from April through October.
