About
Bill Welder is originally from Maryland. He fished the Chesapeake Bay and offshore Maryland and Virginia waters since childhood. He first fished in Key West in 1983. He sold his businesses in the early 90's and has been fishing full time ever since. After permanently moving to the lower keys, he has enjoyed with many clients, the gin clear waters and the great variety of game fish the lower keys has to offer year round. For him there is no greater pleasure than putting someone from out of town on their first tarpon or landing their first sailfish. Exception to that would be a client’s wife or small child who have never fished before out fishing dad on a trip. His boat is named "Keyed Up" and if you meet him you will soon come to realize that the naming of his boat was no accident. He is relentless in the pursuit of game fish, he enjoys teaching and sharing with others and he holds nothing back.
